Oh man, this is just like that bit in David Lynch's Lost Highway where the main character DISAPPEARED on me, and I wondered if there'd been some mistake in swapping reels.

(only now my new identity is locked in a gas chamber, we're being attacked by a robot shark thing and there's a giant meteor approaching the planet, but I feel pretty confident much of this would have happened if Twin Peaks ever managed another season)
