I somehow missed Apple Bough when I was a kid - I think I had it mixed up in my head with Ballet Shoes for Anna.
Hadn't even heard of the movie - is she Posy? If it's recent, I would have thought she'd be too old, but I suppose the version in my head is going to be significantly different from everyone else's anyway :) My favourite Streatfeilds are probably The Painted Garden and Party Frock, possibly because I like having one production story (film/play) that runs through the main story, but I am very fond of Ballet Shoes as well.
