Dear Chocolatier,

Thanks so much for answering my request! This is rather belated, so if you’ve started already do feel free to go with whatever you’ve come up with - these are really just suggestions.

I am more than happy with art or fic for any of my requests. In fic, I like plot, humour, and getting to spend more time with characters I love in worlds I enjoy revisiting. I prefer upbeat or bittersweet endings to downers. I prefer no earthquakes, child harm/death, nor extensive medical details. In art I like pieces with strong visual styles rather than photorealism or manips (although I am fine with game art for either of the two gaming fandoms), and I like feeling that I’m getting a glimpse behind the story.

Yuletide reveal

Happy new year!! (for those for whom this is relevant)

For Yuletide I wrote Imaginary Planes, a Hav/RPF crossover for ambyr. My identity was then totally guessable because I’d been all over ambyr’s nomination post with Hav enthusiasm, and then completely disappeared for any subsequent story discussion, but hopefully the fic itself came as a surprise.

I enjoyed writing this, and also really enjoyed discovering Beryl Markham, who I never would have encountered otherwise, and I'm very grateful to ambyr for the opportunity. I am also extremely grateful to my betas, china_shop & isis, who were very helpful on very short notice.

I received two gifts for Yuletide, a Tripods story (with Will! and Fritz!) that is surprisingly optimistic for this canon and rather sweet, and a treat for the Shakespear's Sister music video for Stay that attempts to explain at least some of the weirdness. I have read quite a few other fics but this has taken me three evenings so far and so this year it will have to be comments on the fics themselves rather than a recs post.
