Ooh, I loved Outer Wilds! I never got to the endings, I forget why - but I got to a lot of the moments of revelation and went through that gradually deepening sense that what seemed like a bad situation was actually even worse.
I've been playing a game called The Blue Prince, which was reminding me of Outer Wilds not in the specifics, but because it is also a sort of exploration puzzle about working out the history of the place you're moving through, and I've realised I especially like those. In this case, the place is a house where the layout of the rooms changes each day, and you're trying to move through the layout and find rooms you haven't seen before. I really like when the solution to a puzzle is a new place you can go, and I also really like slowly learning that there's a depth of history to the people who used to live in the place (and why are you there now? And where did they go?)
